“Over the last 20 years, Gail Wetzler and her extremely skilled and caring staff have treated me for various physical dysfunctions.  In 1988, due to extreme pain in my neck and shoulders, I made an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon who diagnosed my painful neck condition as an arthritis problem. He referred me to Gail for physical therapy and corrective exercises. After an evaluation with Gail and several visits with various therapic modalities, which included visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, mycfacial release, along with corrective exercises, I was able to maintain a pain-free life.  I continued seeing Gail, usually quarterly, for maintenance.”

“Over the years, I have been seen by her and her other physical therapists for injuries resulting from an auto accident.  Also, I have benefited greatly with pre- and post-surgery therapy for both a knee and gall bladder surgery by receiving therapy with her massage therapist, Pilates and Feldenkrais staff.”

“In 2006, I was seenby Gail and most of her staff for more than a year for problems with digestion, loss of weight (50 pounds), breathing problems and constant extreme pain following a hysterectomy/bladder suspension surgery and a year later an adhesion surgery. After many tests and procedures, my pain was undiagnosed and unresolved by medical specialists in Orange County. Feeling that I could not get the help that I needed, I made appointments at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona.”

“At Mayo Clinic, the six doctors that saw me diagnosed my pain problem as resulting from scar tissue and nerve damage from the hysterectomy/bladder suspension surgery and they recommended that I get involved with a Pain Clinic. Mayo Clinic approved the program and the therapy modalities that Gail Wetzler Integrated Therapy had to offer.  I feel that l owe my successful recovery, without pain, to Gail and her staff and I will always be extremely grateful. Over the years, I have recommended at least four other people with serious physical dysfunctions who have experienced tremendous benefit from the therapy at Gail Wetzler's Integrated Physical Therapy.”

I first met Gail Wetzler when I was facing surgery for a severe overuse injury of my right arm, as well as neck and lower back pain. Through therapy I was able to avoid surgery as well as regain the use of my right arm and rehabilitate my neck and back. At the time, I was an overworked medical resident putting in 100+ hours per week in the hospital. 11 Years later, I am still a practicing physician and have continued to receive craniosacral and visceral therapy from Gail addressing other issues (digestive, muscular, skeletal). Through my experience with Gail's helping hands and these types of therapies, I have learned more about how the human body works and how everything interacts within our bodies than I ever did in anatomy or physiology classes in medical school.

We brought our son, Ryder, in to see Gail when he was just shy of his first birthday.  At the time he was 100% G-Tube fed and was only able to roll over in one direction.  He had his G-Tube placed after his 4 month stay in the NlCU and we were told by countless Pediatricians and Pediatric GI doctors that it would be 5 years before Ryder might be able to get his G-Tube out.

Ryder was incredibly uncomfortable during his feedings and seemed to be in so much pain but no one could do anything to help him. We tried six different reflux medications, none of which helped and many made his condition worse. There were days it would take us 2 hours to get 4 ounces of milk in him and then minutes later he would throw it all up.

We heard about Gail from a woman who 11 years prior had taken her daughter to see Gail for similar feeding and GI issues. She told us how much Gail had helped her daughter. It was a remarkable story and we were eager to know if Gail could help Ryder as well.

Immediately after Ryder's first visit with Gail he sat up for the first time on his own. Within two weeks his overall mobility was greatly improved.  He was rolling all over the place and seemed to feel so much better. After his 5th visit Ryder did something we were told we'd have to wait 5 years to see, he started eating! By his 8th visit he was taking all of his nutrition by mouth. Eight months and about 10 visits later we removed Ryder's G-Tube and he has been eating like a champ ever since. He is now developmentally on schedule and has no more pain and discomfort. We are thankful beyond measure for Gail's knowledge and expertise. In the most gentle and non intrusive way our son received the help he needed long before it was ever supposed to happen.

My problem began in 1996 when I underwent a series of chiropractic treatments for what was at the time, a simple low back strain. However, the chiropractic treatments to my neck, spine and pelvis quickly resulted in damage that left me almost incapacitated. I was unable to sit for more than a few minutes without feeling instability and intense pulling and pressure in my head, spinal cord, pelvis and viscera including my diaphragm. I was up pacing the floor every 20 min at night.  I am an osteopathic physician and realized that my problem would not be corrected by standard treatment modalities like traction, massage, heat, analgesics, etc. I saw two osteopathic physicians who tried manipulative techniques including muscle energy and cranial sacral techniques without Improvement.  Over the next few months, my condition worsened and I feared I would have to give up my medical practice.  I was referred to Gail Wetzler, P.T by my second physician. With her extraordinary knowledge and skill with visceral manipulation as well as craniosacral manipulation and strain / counterstrain techniques, she was able to provide me with a noticeable relief of symptoms almost immediately. I was able to continue working as a physician and over the years, I have continued to improve steadily.  I can now take long car rides, vacation and sit for 8 hours at a computer.  Occasionally, I will have problems that require continued treatments, I feel such relief in the improvement I made and feel that Gail's expertise in visceral manipulation as given me a productive life that I otherwise would not have had.

"My digestive dysfunction began at birth having a diaphragm hernia and small bowel obstruction. The obstruction was so severe I needed four surgeries to repair and remove some of the small intestine. I suffered with symptoms of abdominal pain, vomiting, and chest / spinal / pelvic muscle tightness. The abdominal scar tissue caused shortness of breath and lack of rib, spine, or hip range of motion.  Most foods caused gas, bloating and constipation. Acupuncture and exercise gave only temporary relief of pain.  Currently at age 30, Visceral Manipulation helped me to breath again, eliminated the musculoskeletal pain and tightness and currently gives me 3-4 weeks of digestive relief versus only 1 day of digestive relief with medication during acute stomach episodes, Visceral Manipulation is the only modality that has helped me with this situation."
